If you're a hobbyist with a 2x2 tent and a $200 budget, you might be better off with a simpler, cheaper option. No shame in that—the SF-7000 is overkill for two plants. Their smaller lights or even a chandelier-style LED might be a better investment.
But if you're managing a commercial grow and you need to justify every purchase to a CFO who asks about ROI, I'd put Spider Farmer on your shortlist. The integrated control system alone can save you hours of manual labor per week. And having verifiable PPFD data makes it easier to explain why you chose a particular light over a cheaper alternative.
Take it from someone who ate a $2,400 expense report rejection back in 2020 because a vendor couldn't produce a proper invoice: the cost of a wrong decision is way higher than the premium for a right one.
Bottom line? Do your homework. Look at the PPFD maps. Check the controller compatibility. And for the love of your budget, get everything in writing.
